Job Role: Unit Head / Plant Head – Re-Bonded Foaming- Textile Industry- Multiple locations
Job Description:

Our Textile Industry client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Unit Head to lead the complete operations of its Re-Bonded Foaming manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for production, quality, maintenance, safety, cost control, manpower management and overall plant performance. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to drive operational excellence while achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

  • Lead end-to-end plant operations and ensure achievement of production targets.
  • Develop and implement production plans to maximize capacity utilization.
  • Monitor productivity, efficiency and process performance.
  • Ensure timely execution of production schedules and customer commitments.

Quality Management

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Monitor rejection, wastage, and rework levels and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

Maintenance & Engineering

  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of all machinery and equipment.
  • Minimize machine breakdowns and downtime.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams for process improvements and equipment upgrades.

Manpower Management

  • Lead and manage plant workforce, supervisors, and department heads.
  • Plan manpower deployment and shift schedules.
  • Build a performance-driven culture through training and development initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental and safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures.

Cost Control & Process Improvement

  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across production and operations.
  • Improve productivity, reduce wastage, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Dispatch, HR, Finance and Management teams.
  • Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly MIS and performance reports.
  • Review KPIs and implement action plans to achieve organizational goals.

Job Qualifications:
